Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a charge for room rental?

There is no room charge associated with the reservation space. We do ask that you meet the minimum spend requirements to book the space for your exclusive use. If the minimum spend is not met, there will be a room charge applied to the balance owing. Your event coordinator will provide the required minimum spend for your event.  

How can I view the space before booking?

We are happy to have you visit the private space of your choice before booking. Please reach out to us to schedule a tour of our spaces available.  

How do I confirm my event?

To confirm your event, we require you to return a signed copy of our contract. Please complete a private dining inquiry form if your event is more than 10 guests and will happily send over a contract for your event.  

Do you require a final headcount?

Yes, a final headcount of your guests is required 72 hours before your event.

Do you require a deposit?

We do not take a deposit, but we do require a credit card number on file to be used in the event of a cancellation prior to 5 days before the scheduled event. 

Are there preset menus?

All menu packages are created based on our seasonal offerings. Menus will change twice yearly and your event coordinator will ensure you have the most updated package to choose from. 

Do you offer custom menus for private events?

We gladly offer custom menu packages or substitutions, and pricing will be adjusted accordingly. Our Executive Chef is happy to discuss any special requests for custom menu development. 

Can you accommodate guests with dietary restrictions?

Absolutely! We are experienced in creating dishes that are tailored to meet culinary and dietary needs including vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free, nut-free, and more. 

Do you offer fixed-price drink packages?

All beverages are charged based on consumption per drink or bottle opened, including taxes and gratuity. We do not offer fixed-price drink packages. 

Can I bring in outside alcohol?

Due to liquor license regulations, we are unable to allow guests to bring in their own wine or alcohol. 

Do you allow outside food?

Cakes and cupcakes are the only outside food permitted. A $1.95 per person plating fee will apply.  

Can I bring in outside decorations for my event?

Yes! You are welcome to decorate your private space to your liking.

Proof Kitchen + Lounge reserves the right to refuse any décor item that is harmful either to the property, its assets and contents, or its employees. Decorations must not be attached to the buildings by using nails, staples, or cellophane tape. Masking tape, confetti, small glitter, and silly string are not allowed in the restaurant.

Do you provide table linens?

No, table linens are not provided. We are able to rent table linens for your event, at an additional cost. Please contact us to learn more about renting table linens from one of our suppliers.

When do I get access to the room?

For lunch events, you will have access to the room at 10:30 AM. For dinner events, you will have access for one hour before your event. There is no prior events, you can access the space four hours beforehand. Please reach out to us confirm.

Do you have preferred suppliers?

We are happy to provide a list of local referrals for florists or photographers. 

DJ’s or live music are not permitted in our private dining spaces.

How long do I have the room for?

Private dining spaces can be reserved for up to 4 hours for an event. If you require more time, please contact us directly.

Is a gratuity applied to private events?

A gratuity of 20% will automatically be added to the final bill of your event. 

Can I host a meeting in your private rooms?

Yes! Proof Kitchen + Lounge can easily accommodate private all-day meetings, dinner meetings, and presentations.  Please note that the rooms are completely private but are not soundproof.  

What A/V systems are available at your location?

There are  72” HDMI flat-screen TVs in our private and semi-private rooms. We can supply you with a HDMI cable. 

Can I play my own music during my event?

Yes, you are welcome to bring speakers to play music during your event. Proof Kitchen + Lounge reserves the right to request music be turned down or turned off so as to not disrupt our guests dining in the restaurant.

Is there internet access in private dining spaces?

Yes! There is free Wifi available through the Delta Hotel.

Is there free parking available?

Parking is available for all guests of Proof, free of charge. You and your guests will be asked to register your license plate at the host desk when you arrive at Proof. 

What if I don’t need a private space but have a large party?

If you do not need a private or semi-private room, please contact us to check availability and accommodations for your group.  

Are the spaces wheelchair accessible?

Most of our private dining spaces are wheelchair accessible with the exception of The Tasting Room. Please contact us with any additional accommodations you may require for your event.
